Studio in Hull

This weekend I was invited to visit a screenprinting studio in Hull.
The studio uses oil-based (as opposed to water-based) inks. It was nice to learn about an alternative type of printing, and how the oil-based inks require a slightly different printing process. The oil-based inks produce amazing results in terms of how dense the printed colour is, and are much better for colour overlays. However, I felt pretty light-headed by the end of the day, and i'm not a huge fan of all the chemicals needed to run an oil-based studio... so i'll probably try and stick to water-based inks if I have the choice.

Secret Blisters

I'm happy to say that one of my prints has made it into the show.
I can't post my design, as the artist's signature's are being kept secret during the show... but if you go along and buy a print, there's a 1/35 chance that it will be one of mine!!
I'm quite excited to have my work exhibited alongside artists/ designers/ illustrators such as those mentioned above... woop :)

Thus Spoke John Bingle

An idea for my business card, which I have decided not to use. The design is based on the cover of 'Thus Spoke Zarathustra' By Nietzsche.
